Before you apply, make sure you meet one of the following sets of PfMP certification requirements:
Set A requirements
Possess a minimum of 96 months of professional business experience within the last 15 years AND
Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
84 months of portfolio management experience
Set B requirements
Possess a minimum of 96 months of professional business experience within the last 15 years AND
Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent)
48 months of portfolio management experience

Maintaining your PfMP certification
Earning your PfMP certification is a big step — maintaining it shouldn’t have to be. Continuing education is core to PMI certification. PfMP holders need to earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) in each 3-year cycle to maintain certification. Each PDU represents one hour spent:
