Before you apply, make sure you meet the following PMI-ACP certification requirements:
Eligibility requirement
• Secondary school diploma
• 24 months/ 2 years of agile experience within the last 5 years (a current PMP® satisfies this requirement but is not mandatory
• 21 hours of training in agile practices, frameworks, and methodologies (21 hours will be accepted until 31 March 2025). Candidates with a third-party certification or who have completed a GAC core project management course, are pre-approved to fulfill this requirement.

Maintaining your PMI-ACP certification
Earning your certification is a big step – maintaining it shouldn’t have to be. Continuing education is core to PMI certification. PMI-ACP holders need to earn 30 professional development units (PDUs) in each 3-year cycle to maintain certification. Each PDU represents one hour spent:

• Presenting
• Reading
• Volunteering
